4. Critical Installation & Maintenance Protocol
Case Priming (Mandatory): Before starting the engine, you must fill the pump housing with clean hydraulic oil through the highest case drain port. Running a piston pump "dry" will cause catastrophic failure of the internal friction surfaces within seconds.
System Flush: If the previous pump failed due to internal breakage (metal shavings in oil), you must flush the hydraulic tank, main control valve, and oil cooler. Residual debris will destroy a new pump almost immediately.
